CTC Therapy - Frequently Asked Questions.
By Amy Crawford
CTC Therapy invites lots of curiosity and with that many questions around what it's all about. Here I've compiled the most frequently asked questions, should you be interested in learning more.
What does CTC stand for and what exactly, is it?
CTC stands for Combined Therapy Cocktail or ‘Cut The Crap’. It is a 2-hour, life-transformational therapy combining a number of therapies including Hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Reiki. Each of the therapies are effective in their own right, but by bundling them together they become far more powerful for bringing about lifelong change.
Combining these techniques I find the root cause for every one of a client’s ‘negative’ emotions. I don't treat the symptom — I find the root cause that created a specific feeling, fear, belief, addiction, insecurity, illness, or trust issue that manifested over the years.
What are some of the most common issues dealt with in a CTC session?
There is little a CTC session cannot support, but below are some of the most common issues:
- Feelings of not being good enough
- A need to please
- Fears of confrontation
- Fears of public speaking
- Weight loss and food related issues
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- A fear of the unknown or of the future
- Feeling stuck or blocked
- Addictions to sugar, food, or smoking
- A fear of judgement
- Negative body image
- Anger, guilt, shame
- Feeling unworthy
- Money blocks
Who is it for?
CTC is for anyone and everyone, from age 15 and above. What matters is that the client feels ready to let their issues and challenges go, and to take responsibility for their healing post treatment. There is no right or wrong time to have this session; if it resonates and feels right, NOW is the right time.
Who is it not for?
It is not for those looking for a ‘quick fix’ or for those not ready to take responsibility for their healing and investing in themselves. As a therapist I am unable to take away your free will and choice – so this therapy requires taking on board the tips and tools provided during the session and working to make changes to your mindset post.
Could I book a session for a loved one, such as a friend or family member?
You absolutely can, but only with the express buy-in from this person. The success of this session relies on my client being ready to address whatever it is that is holding them back, and ready to take responsibility for their healing post session. It's also important that CTC therapy resonates with them.
You do it face to face and via Skype - is there any difference in effectiveness?
No, there is absolute no difference in effectiveness, it simply comes down to a matter of personal preference. Most of my sessions these days are run via Skype.
Why is it not available for children below 15?
Below 15, it becomes too difficult for a child to retain the required level of concentration for a 2 hour session. For this reason, I encourage parents to consider a 1 hour EFT appointment. EFT sessions can be broken into 30 minute blocks for very young children.
How does it compare to Talk Therapy?
CTC is very different to talk therapy. In order to be effective, I do not need to understand you story. What I need are all the feelings, negative emotions, fears etc associated with your story. This means you will not be required to rehash your past, or to explain issues in any detail.
How do I prepare for the session?
Upon booking you will receive 2 confirmation emails. The second details what you need to do to prepare. Preparation is very simple and requires a bullet list of everything holding you back from feeling amazing.
Is there a limit to how many issues you can work with in one session?
No, there is no limit. If your list is very long, it will also likely be repetitive – in this instance many of the points come back to the same underlying issues.
Is there any homework?
Yes. There is daily homework for 1-2 weeks prior – know that it is very quick and simple. Also, during the CTC session I share a number of mindset tips and tools to help you strengthen and cement the changes post session. This follow up work is essential to the lasting success of this session.
Are there any guarantees for this treatment?
No. It is impossible to guarantee therapy. No therapist can take away your free will and choice. So, if you finish your session and decide not to do your homework or take on board the tips and tools provided, you may hamper the success of the session.
Do you have any testimonials?
Yes, there are many wonderful testimonials. You will find those towards the foot of this page.
What if I need further support down the track?
For immediate questions post treatment I am readily available. I also offer a 1 hour CTC reset and 1 hour EFT sessions for when life throws curveballs and you need further support. For those preferring ongoing support over a 3-6 month period, a Personalised Coaching & Therapy Care Package is available. You will find further information about this package here.
How much does one session cost?
Your investment is $495AUD.
