Eleven of the Tastiest Winter Desserts
By Amy Crawford
Earlier in the year I put together a post, Eleven of the Best Cookie Recipes. Soon after I was asked why I had made it eleven, surely it should have been ten, or even 12? As it happened, that was just the way the cookie crumbled (I know, hilarious).
Interestingly enough, it appears today I've ended up in a similar predicament - eleven of the tastiest winter desserts. Thankfully there ain't no number police around my neck of the hoods.
This rather decadent winter dessert selection comes to you with huge thanks to a selection of some of Australia's finest health and wellness bloggers and businesses. Thanks to these ladies for use of their imagery too.
1. Soulful Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding (pictured above)
Because seriously, who doesn't want a chocolate pudding that self sauces? Thank you Alice of The Whole Daily for this glorious recipe.
2. Paleo Sticky Date Pudding
The Merrymaker Sisters tell us it's "new and improved" so I'm betting it's pretty darn gooood. Thank you ladies for this winter warming wonder.
3. Rhubarb Ginger Crumble.
The clever Georgia from Well Nourished got me at 'crumble', synonymous as it is with winter. You really rather should make this recipe.
4. Ginger Spice Banana Bread Cake
Bananas, bread and spices - this is a combo far too hard to resist! With thanks to Eat Drink Paleo for yet another mighty fine and hearty looking creation.
5. Chocolate Pudding with Gooey Bits.
Did someone say gooey bits!? Sold, to us all! Thank you Alexx Stuart of Low Tox Living, I've a feeling I'll be losing a teaspoon to this dish any moment now.
6. Pumpkin Pie
Well, I can only take credit for the photo here, the rest goes to the lovely Dr Leandra Brady-Walker from Cosmopolitan Hippy. If you've not made this recipe, I'm coming around and sitting on your doorstep until you do! (It's that good).
7. Choc Chip Skillet Cookie
A skillet of gooey, crunchy heaven if you ask me. Imagine it fresh from the oven, melty chocolate in your fingers. Thanks awfully to I Quit Sugar, we rather love the look of this recipe.
8. Steamed Sticky Date Pudding
I tell you, there is ALWAYS room for two sticky dates, oh yes siree! Thanks to Lisa of Mummymade.it for a totally delicous looking recipe.
9. Berry Nice Brownies
Anything berry nice deserves a spot on this list as far as I'm concerned! Thanks again to Georgia of Well Nourished for nourishing us so with your beautiful recipe.
10. Slow Cooker Baked Apples
Slow cooker users unite, it's time to bake an apple or two! Thank you Stacey Clare for this gorgeous recipe (that could well become breakfast).
11. Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies
Who doesn't need to dunk a cookie after dinner, or even after dessert for that matter? We can never ever have enough chocolate folks. Thanks to Lauren of Ascension Kitchen for this hugely dunk-worthy recipe.
If I were you I'd be pinning this selection to your sweets board for 'Ron. Or sending it to someone you know who is more likely to get their bake on (and invite you over). Or I'd just shut your eyes and let your fingers fall on the screen and make whichever recipe it lands on for something tells me it's impossible to go wrong!
