The most important meal of the day - you've heard it before! A nutritious breakfast is essential to your brain function and physical performance. It's for that reason that I try to include a balance of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats in most of my breakfast choices, and of course choose whole foods in the process.
Sometimes though one is at a loss for inspiration, let's be honest. So we've decided to whack a whole bunch of healthy breakfast ideas together in one post - to get you all fired up and raring to go each day. Of course they are all gluten, refined sugar and additive free.
On the go.
A smoothie in a mason jar, a bagel or an egg muffin thrown in a brown paper bag - these are for the days we hit the snooze button one too many times!
Some serious brain food to nourish your body and energise your brain. These meals will keep you satisfied until lunchtime (and your fingers out of the cookie jar).
Prepare ahead of time.
For those of you willing to invest a little time and effort the night prior, you'll be guaranteed the most delicious morning ahead.
Meals designed to accompany you back to bed complete with books, paper and a special someone (2 or 4 legged). Comfort food and laziness (beautifully timed for the winter days ahead).
