Two ingredient apple gummies

Recently I shared this three-ingredient apple gummie pic on my instagram feed and, being such a simple recipe it's not suprising there were a lot of requests for the recipe! Afterall, who doesn't want simple?

I've shared homemade fruit gummies on here before; you'll find some information on gelatin, and another couple of flavour options (lemon and wild orange or orange, cinnamon and clove here). For the essential oil lovers amongst you, check out the options below to up the flavour ante!

1 cup pure apple juice (no added sugar)
2 tablespoons gelatin
4 tablespoons water

Optional essential oil additions:

In a small cup, mix the gelatin and water together with a spoon. Stir well - it will go rubbery. Leave it to set for 5 mins.

In a small saucepan, heat the apple juice. Do not let it boil.

When the juice is hot, turn off the heat and add the gelatin mix to the saucepan. Whisk until dissolved.

Pour into a silicone ice cube tray, a plastic lunchbox base or a lined square cake tin and pop in the fridge for 1 hour to set. Slice the gummies into small blocks.

Gummies will keep up to 1 week in the fridge.

Now it's your turn! I'd love to know how you most enjoy your gummies. What are your fave flavours?
